How Will Fostering Impact My Biological Kids?
There is no doubt that this is one of the largest fears when it comes to choosing to foster. The costs are real. I won’t begin to deny that. Foster children need time (sometimes in the middle of the night), attention, and have lot of appointments to help them heal past trauma. However, fostering is a mission trip and service opportunity the entire family gets to participate in without leaving home. Your children get an awareness of the world that changes their hearts to be more compassionate. Our children enjoy being a valued part of our team to love children well. They get to see authentic faith at work, and the life change and healing that comes with it. So many times at our events volunteers comment on how well all the biological children care for and adore the foster children among them. It is indeed a beautiful thing to see.
