A Birthday Party with Bios

An Oconee Foster Mom stepped out in faith to invite her foster son’s parents to his birthday party, and she told us it went better then she imagined!

“They were very nice and thanked us for taking him in as our own. I told them that we are so used to being looked at as the enemy. And the dad told me, they are their own enemy and we are helping them.”

Birthday sponsorships allow foster parents the chance to invite more people who love their foster child to come celebrate. Often, siblings in other homes, extended biological family members, new friends from school, as well as extended foster family members that love the child attend the party and feeding that many special folks can get expensive. We are so thankful we can help make it a very special day for kids in foster care!
