Foster Mom Strong

One foster mom was thrilled when she left a teacher conference this week! She rejoiced in what the teacher had to say and how far she and her foster son had come together.

“The teacher said, ‘He is amazing in every way.’ Then, she showed me where he is performing 2 grades higher in math and reading. Y’all, he couldn’t even talk when he came, so you could understand him. DSS said he was non-verbal when they called me to accept placement. . I am sooo proud of him. Not just because of academics; but she is right, he is amazing. He is so kind and just fun. Just wanted to boast.”

Go ahead Mama! Boast away! Foster care is so rewarding!
